On Thursday 13 February 2020, Narromine Shire Council, Narromine Local Aboriginal Land Council and Trangie Aboriginal Land Council will host an official ceremony to commemorate the anniversary of the Apology to Australia’s Indigenous Peoples delivered by the then Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd. The ceremony will take place at the Narromine Golf Club and morning tea will be served following the ceremony. Guest speaker: NSW Aboriginal Land Council, Councillor Grace Toomey is a Wiradjuri woman from Dubbo. Prior to being elected to NSWALC, Grace working in local government for 24 years, most recently as the Aboriginal Liaison Office for the Dubbo Regional Council. Grace represents the Central Region.
